Tailoring Centers

Creativity is essential to share the Gospel in certain regions. Creative Access provides that opportunity.

As persecution of the church and Christians rises in parts of Asia, creativity is essential to share the Gospel in certain regions. God led us to start Creative Access Initiatives (CAI) to minister to women in dangerous areas through our Tailoring Centers.

LCMI’s first tailoring center (formerly Community Development Center) opened in February 2014. By October 2024, we have established 7 centers in two Asian countries by God's grace.

Our tailoring centers equip women with practical sewing skills to generate income to support themselves and provide an avenue to share the Gospel with friends who may attend with them.

Qualified ministry team members teach sewing skills, offer daily devotions, and often become close friends with the women, enabling them to listen to the women’s personal cares so they may offer spiritual guidance and encouragement.

The free, four-month tailoring course is offered three times a year at each center. To avoid overloading an area with seamstresses, LCMI relocates after several courses are completed. Before graduating, women are evaluated on basic sewing skills, pattern creation, and their completed projects.

We praise God for the impact on these women and their families. Please pray that these women will not only learn to make a living but also come to know the Giver of Life.

Our Tailoring Centers offer a place where women learn to sew, hear the Gospel, receive support, and find hope in Christ.
